SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA: Alice Margaret (Mlinek) Brach, age 79, wife of 60 years to Walter N. Brach, Jr., passed away on March 10, 2022, at the Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. Alice was born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 9, 1942, a daughter of the late John J. Mlinek, Sr. and Eleanor (Washburn) Mlinek.
Alice was predeceased by 2 sisters, Eveline Degray; Eleanor Stevens, and 2 brothers, Thomas Mlinek and John J. Mlinek, Jr. Alice was also predeceased by her beloved grandson, Tanner M. Brach in 2017.
Alice resided in Southwick, Massachusetts for many years with her husband and family, while working at Cigna and Lincoln Insurance companies in Connecticut. After she and her husband retired, they relocated to Sebastian, Florida, where they enjoyed the warm climate, beaches, entertainment and so much more.
In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by her three daughters, Karina Brach Pistritto, Cassandra Brach Sgueglia and her husband Tony, and Shelly Brach and her fiancé Jamie; four grandchildren, Carissa Vergnani, Sophia Vergnani, Eveline Rose Vergnani and Summer Garcia; four sisters, Nancy Murphy, Jane Tarnauskas and her husband Jack, Dale Oleksak and her husband James, and Beverly Garrett.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick. Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from the funeral home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 224 Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick. Burial will follow in the New Cemetery, on College Highway, Southwick.
