Kyle M. Johnson

HARWICH PORT, MA – Kyle Michael Johnson, 43, (1978 – 2022) passed away on May 27, 2022, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, following a long illness and surrounded by his loved ones.

Kyle was born in Springfield, MA on September 22, 1978, as the beloved son of Norman N. Johnson of Bangor, ME and Judith Ann (Riegel) Johnson of West Yarmouth, MA and Jupiter, FL. Kyle grew up in the town of Southwick where he actively participated in recreational sports throughout his life. In 1997 he graduated from Southwick Tolland Regional High School where he excelled in basketball. Following high school, he attended Westfield State College. Kyle was a former parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Southwick.

Kyle resided in Saratoga Springs, NY before moving to Cape Cod 6 years ago. His love of the ocean and beach was the inspiration for his photography and tattoo creations. His love of sports was never ending, particularly his passion for Liverpool soccer and the Boston Celtics.

Kyle was employed by UPS, Ace Hardware Distribution Center in NY and Agway of Cape Cod-Chatham.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Raymond N. Johnson and maternal grandparents Robert E. and Joyce I. Riegel.

Kyle is survived by a brother, Keith, his wife Kristen, and their son, Julian; a sister, Courtney and her partner Claude; paternal grandmother, Frances Johnson of Niskayuna, NY. He also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The Johnson family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Daniel Arnold and his staff for their exemplary compassionate care, as well as Dr. Charles Parsons and the entire Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Critical Care Surgical team and Surgical Intensive Care staff for providing Kyle support, and the very best quality of care over the past year.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the New Cemetery, College Highway, Southwick. There are no calling hours.
