SOUTHWICK – Dorothy Ann Lenk, 84, (1938-2023) passed away at home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born in Westfield, the only child to the late Herman and Anna (Schneider) Lenk and settled on Feeding Hills Rd., Southwick in 1927. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1956 where she majored in business and was employed by Strathmore Paper Co. in the payroll department prior to graduation. Before retirement in 2012 from Peter Pan Bus Lines she had also worked at Southwick High School, United Cerebral Palsy, American Marine and Pioneer Dairy. She was a communicant of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Dorothy was predeceased by a daughter Dawn Marie Peters, who died in December of 2008.
She leaves behind another daughter, Danette Lynn Peters of Blairsville, GA and a son, Gregory Lenk Peters of Southwick, MA, two granddaughters, Valerie Marie Peters of Coventry, CT and Alyson Lynn Galetta of Morgantown, NC, a great-grandson, Mason Lee Robinson of Reidsville, NC and a great-granddaughter, Makayla Lynn Robinson of Morgantown, NC.
Dorothy was a lover of all animals, enjoyed working in her flower gardens and crocheting afghans.
There are no calling hours and burial will be private at St. John’s Cemetery on Lockhouse Rd., Westfield. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Hospital.
