WESTFIELD – We regretfully announce that on Saturday, May 13, 2023 our beloved, Jean M. Hillard (1963 – 2023) of Westfield, MA passed away unexpectedly. Jean, born on May 8, 1963 to the late Francis H. and Millicent (Dean) Hillard, spent most of her career as a sought-after hairdresser. She would always bring a “cut and a smile” to everyone that knew her. She always opened up her home to anyone that needed a place to stay, never expecting anything in return.
Jean was predeceased by her parents Francis and Millicent as well as her brothers Irving Hillard, Sr. and John F. Hillard.
She leaves behind her adored children Francis D. Towle, and his wife Meredith of Gastonia, NC and Daniel J. Towle, Jr. and his wife Cora of Southwick, MA. She also leaves behind her brother Raymond “Ike” Hillard of Westfield, her “better half” Ken Guertin, Sr. of Westfield, her cherished grandchildren Darin, Samantha, Michael, Westyn, Blakely, Evan, and Grace, as well as her nieces, nephews, and housemates who were her bonus children.
The family would love for you to join in on a celebration of life graveside memorial service at Pine Hill Cemetery, 140 W. Silver St., Westfield, MA on Thursday, May 18th at 11am.
