WESTFIELD – Nancy J. (Avery) Katalina, 82, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA after a brief illness.
Nancy was born on November 8th, 1940, in Westfield MA to the late Welcome Avery and Isabell (Miles) Avery.
Nancy had worked as a housekeeper at Western Mass Hospital and retired after 25 years of service. She was also the co-owner of the Brass Lantern Café.
Nancy was a part-time sports handicapper. She enjoyed watching the Patriots Tom Brady and golf’s Tiger Woods. Nancy was also a loyal fan of Budweiser beer.
Nancy was a stylish lady with a great sense of humor and a deep love for animals.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, her husband Joe, her daughter Eileen, 7 sisters, and 4 brothers.
Survivors who will cherish her memory include her son Joey and his wife Janet, her daughters Darlene Katalina and Lisa Katalina with whom she lived, her grandson Kyle, her brothers Robert and Chucky, along with many other family members and friends.
