James Raymond Pendleton

SOUTHWICK – James “Too Tall” Pendleton, 67, (1956-2023) of Southwick, passed away on August 12th, 2023 surrounded by his family. James was raised in Granville MA by the late Donn Cameron Pendleton and Betty Barnes Pendleton. James worked as a machinist for many years at Hamilton Standard and for the wonderful family at Advance Manufacturing Co. He loved to play sports, mostly basketball growing up and all through adulthood where he went on to coach his children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, UMass basketball games, traveling for his girl’s games, riding his Harley Davidson, the motocross nationals, and was an avid member of the Lake George Sportsman Club.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his younger sister Jane Pendleton. He leaves behind his wife Sondra “Cindy” Pendleton of 43 years, his daughter Lindsey Currie and spouse Mel Currie of Northampton MA and daughter Laurin Price and spouse Zachary Price of Charlotte NC. He also leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren who he loved and adored very much.

A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton Street, Westfield, MA 01085. A procession will form at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18th, 2023, at Westfield Funeral Home proceeding to Southwick Cemetery for a graveside service and burial. Lunch will be provided at Lake George Sportsman Club, 427 N Loomis Street, Southwick, MA 01077.
