WETHERSFIELD, CT – Helen Marie Maciorowski/Mack passed away peacefully on September 1st, 2023. She was born in Westfield MA on August 5th, 1927 to the late Stanley Wojcik and Edna (Tenero) Wojcik. Helen and the love of her life, Henry, married as teenagers on September 6th, 1943. They were married for 40 years before his death in 1983, and Helen has lived another 40 years. What a wonderful reunion they will have in heaven.
Helen lived in Florida for many years and enjoyed weekly polka dances with her many friends before returning to New England. People always described Helen as “such a sweet lady.” She would make chicken soup for someone who was sick and bring her chocolate chip cookies to any parties she attended.
Helen leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Geltzer of Wethersfield CT, her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Dan Lynberg of Herndon VA, and her son, Ron Mack of Arlington WA; grandchildren Jen Agey, Dave Agey, Nick Lynberg, and Julie Hamer; great-grandson Jordan Agey, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by their son, David, and her three older sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 330 Elm Street in Westfield on Wednesday, September 6th at 10:30 a.m. Her family will receive friends and relatives prior to the church service from 9:00 am until 10:00 a.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA.
