WESTFIELD – Melanie Diane Victoria (Bolin) Galcenski was taken to eternal rest on December 3rd, 2023 after a 12-year battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret Kay 
(Russell) Bolin who was born in Edinburgh Scotland and Eskil R.H. Bolin. They resided in Wilbraham MA in the home they designed and helped build.
Vicki was a 1963 graduate of the original Minnechaug Regional High School which was the first four-year graduating class. She was employed by Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company for five years in the computer operations Department. She retired from Baystate Medical Center in 2002 where she was an assistant supervisor in patient accounting Stockbridge Court.
She is survived by her husband Anthony P. Galcenski. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her beloved caring and supportive daughter Lisa D. Zappala of Groveland MA and her thoughtful husband Rick Zappala, her grandson Nicholas J. Galcenski, who was loved more than words could say. She also leaves her son Anthony Christopher Galcenski who resides in Connecticut and his children Gavin, Jaxson and Savannah Galcenski. She loved her family before all else. She was an avid gardener and was honored to be invited to the 2015-2017 Grandmothers’ Garden Tour of her gardens. Vicki loved the athenaeum and reading. In 1987 she bought her dream car, a 1980 white corvette, and owned it for 36 years.
She wishes to thank her friends for their calls, cards and visits; she loved you all.
