WESTFIELD – Dr. Gerard J. Thibault, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Springfield on 
January 26th, 1944 to the late Joseph and Adeline (Roy) Thibault. He attended Cathedral High School before graduating in 1961.
After high school he attended Assumption College and then attended the University of Maryland Dental School earning his Doctorate degree. Gerard then enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Captain in the Vietnam era. He then went into private practice as a Dentist for 44 years before retiring in 2012. Gerard was a lifetime member of the American Dental Association. He loved to ski, golf and especially enjoyed trading stocks.
He is survived by his wife Ginette (Bergeron) of 59 years, his son Dr. Joseph Thibault of Westfield and grandchildren, Joey and Juliana Thibault. He also leaves his brothers, Roland Thibault of Granby and Norman Thibault of Feeding Hills.
Gerard is predeceased by his brother Roger Thibault and sister Jeannette Morency.
Calling hours for Gerard will be held Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience.
