AGAWAM – Jeannette E. (Besançon) West, 92, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 18th, 2024. Born in Pittsfield, she grew up in Chester and lived in Agawam for over sixty-five years.
Jeannette had worked for many years as a waitress at Dunkin Donuts in Agawam. She enjoyed doing ceramics and going to the beach.
She was predeceased by her husband, H. Roy West in 2009 and a daughter, Marie Irby in 2019.
She leaves two sons, John D. West of Westfield, Robert D. West of Feeding Hills, three daughters, Barbara J. Kelly of Southampton, Diane E. Pelletier of Springfield, Susan L. West of Agawam, ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Friday, August 23rd, 2024 from 12-1 p.m. at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 1 p.m. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
