

LOUISVILLE, TN – Robert Anthony Rix, age 59, (1965 – 2025) of Louisville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on January 3rd, 2025, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Robert was a dedicated Public Building Authority Officer in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he cherished his daily interactions with colleagues and friends. Known for his sharp wit and dry sense of humor, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. An avid Boston Red Sox fan and a talented cook, Robert had an unmatched love for pasta and coffee and delighted in sharing meals with loved ones.
He held a special place in his heart for San Diego, California, where he spent over a decade living with his beloved Aunt Judy. Robert’s kindness extended to children and animals alike; he was especially fond of the family cats and was known for his unique ability to “herd” them when others could not. He will be remembered for his loyalty and discretion—qualities that made him a trusted confidant to many.
Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Westfield State University, a testament to his dedication to learning and personal growth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille (Rasta) Rix. He is survived by his father, Robert George Rix; his sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Richard Forshay; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were like family to him.
A mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
