Ralph C. Royland, Sr.

WESTFIELD – Heaven gained another angel. On May 9th, 2025, Ralph C. Royland, Sr. passed away at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA.

Born October 1st, 1949, Ralph was a friend to nearly everyone he met. His happy place was out in the backyard working on his Chevy with his grandkids, and Elvis playing loudly over the radio. That car made him a proud man. He loved to sing, dance, and rock out to his oldie’s music.

Something he always looked forward to was a trip to the casino, win or lose. Ralph also served in the military, where he was recognized for and received multiple defense awards. At the end of the day, his pride and joy was his family, whom he loved in a way nobody else could.

Ralph was the son of the late Frank J. and Lillian M. (Janse) Royland. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Susan M. (Kenary) Royland, his grandson Christopher Plasse, and multiple siblings. His brothers Ed “Rollo,” Frank “Sonny,” John “Jack,” William “Bill,” Michael “Mike,” and one sister Carol “Auntie.” Ralph is survived by his only daughter Gina and her husband Shawn, his oldest son Ralph Jr. and his wife Tanya, and his youngest son Randy and his beloved partner Christina. He leaves behind his grandchildren Daniel, Devon, Landon and a great-grandson, Daniel Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Karen “The Boss.” He had many friends, nieces, and nephews who always stood by his side.

The family would like to thank all the staff, especially the nurses, for their care and compassion for Ralph.

Westfield-Avalon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4 Princeton Street, Westfield, MA 01085 was entrusted with arrangements. A private service was held.
