
PITTSFIELD – Mrs. Terri E. Hoctor, 63, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, with her husband, Dennis’s hand in hers, and her cat, Stripe, nestled in her lap.
Born in Russell, MA, on December 27th, 1961, daughter of the late Ronald and Alberta Wheeler Stone, she grew up in Russell, MA, and graduated from Gateway Regional High School with the class of 1979. While living in Russell, Terri was a longtime employee of the Strathmore Paper Mill. Once residing in the Berkshires, she began her career at the former Lipton Inc, now the Lipton Mart, on West Housatonic Street in Pittsfield. It was there that she dedicated 10 years of service and built many longstanding relationships with customers who became friends. Among many things, Terri loved the beach. She was always comforted by nature’s beauty and enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire, Maine, and especially Cape Cod, with her husband.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Hoctor, with whom she celebrated her 7-year anniversary on September 18th. She leaves behind her stepchildren whom she loved as her own, Calum Hoctor and his fiancé Tori McClure, Lexie Kumar, and Eric Williams, as well as her dear grandchildren, Micah, Gabriel, and Eleana Kumar, and her beloved cat, Stripe.
Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Terri will be Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
