Julie Marie Halls

WESTFIELD – Julie Marie Halls, 67, of Westfield, MA, passed away on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. Julie was born November 22nd, 1958, to Richard and Joyce Rackliffe, from Agawam, MA and was a loving and devoted mother and wife.

Julie and her husband Jeff designed a life that allowed them to maximize their time spent raising their children and supporting them every step of the way. She was an avid music lover, and there was never a day you wouldn’t catch her singing or whistling along to a musical soundtrack in the house. She valued family above everything; finding reasons to gather everyone and celebrate, going for family walks on a random Tuesday evening, or just curling up on the couch for Patriots games, with her dog and grand-dog fighting for a spot next to her.

Julie also made sure to prioritize traveling and was always planning the next vacation, whether it was just a weekend getaway, a family cruise, or renting a big house for the whole extended family. She was dedicated to her long career at WG&E and barely slowed down even when the illness was trying to force her to.

She leaves behind her husband of 43 years Jeffrey Halls and her children Kristin Halls, Justin Halls and her dog Rylee; her sister Helen McCormack; her brothers Bill Rackliffe and his partner Jeanne Russo, and Jim Rackliffe and his wife Cindi Rackliffe; sister-in-law Lisa Galaska and her husband Chet Galaska, and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Julie was predeceased by her mother and father, Joyce and Richard Rackliffe, as well as her sister Nancy Rackliffe.

The family has decided to keep services private but in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to For Rays of Hope.
