WESTFIELD – Maryann G. (Burek) O’Brien, 87, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2026. Born in Westfield, MA to Matthew and Genefa Burek on July 26th, 1938.
Maryann liked working with people. She spent most of her life working in retail at Steiger’s, Cumberland Farms, Westfield Variety & Deli and North Elm Butcher Block. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, crochet, reading, and playing cards with her friends at Hampden Village.
She leaves behind her daughter Lori D’Angelo of CT, her son Daniel O’Brien of NC, her son Kevin O’Brien and wife Kimberly of Feeding Hills, MA. Her cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Rachel, Brendan and Peyton.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Matthew, her grandson Michael, her son-in-law Donald, and her daughter-in-law Cindy.
Calling hours will be held at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16th from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. A service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with the burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield, MA.
