
WORTHINGTON – Philip K. O’Donnell, 87 years old, of Worthington, Massachusetts, died peacefully at home with his devoted wife of 65 years, Anne T. O’Donnell, by his side on August 14th, 2026.
Born June 25th, 1939, son of late James and Georgianna O’Donnell, in Holyoke, MA, Phil was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Westfield, MA and Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, MA. Phil served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He also served in the United States Air Force in Phalsbourg, France during the Berlin Crisis, for which he received the Certificate of Award for Meritorious Achievement. Phil was the consummate salesman, retiring from Matthias Paper Corporation as Vice President of Sales and Member of the Board of Directors. He was a long-time member of the Post 124 and the Sons of Erin of Westfield, MA, in addition to the Rod & Gun Club of Worthington, MA.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Anne T. O’Donnell, daughter of Frank and Katherine Hebda of Westfield, MA and his children, Kelley Corson of New Hampshire and Philip K. O’Donnell, Jr. and his wife, Monika, of New Hampshire. His greatest loss was the passing of their beloved daughter, Mary E. Kelly. Philip and Anne were blessed with four grandchildren, Simon Corson and his wife, Cara, of Colorado, Emma Corson of New Hampshire, Taylor Kelly of Florida, and Ryan Kelly and his wife, Kendal, of North Carolina.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. The funeral will begin on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, at 10 a.m. in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Parish, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield, MA.
