WESTFIELD – Christine A. (Bates) Sienkiewicz, 78, (1948-2026) passed away on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at Vantage in Westfield. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Allen and Shirley (Holt) Bates and was a graduate of Westfield High School.
Christine held many jobs over the years ranging from providing childcare for neighborhood kids to bus monitor, bakery associate and retired after working as a sales associate at the Bon Ton for many years.
She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for family and friends, cross stitching, kayaking, skiing, traveling, concerts at Stanley Park, trips to the beach, and hiking.
Sadly, Christine was predeceased by her beloved husband William Sienkiewicz in 2020, a daughter Colleen Wilson in 2015, and a sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Thomas Benson.
Christine is survived by her daughter MaryBeth Sienkiewicz and Tim Booher of Westfield and her son Craig A. Sienkiewicz of Westfield, a brother Michael Bates and his wife Nancy of Westfield and a sister Kathleen Zygmont and her husband Rick of Southampton.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, September 10th, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085 with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield. A visiting hour will precede the service from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. www.firtionadams.com
