West Springfield Water Line Project – Shaker Road/Pontoosic Road Area:
Revoli Construction will be working on:
SPECIAL ALERT:
Thru Friday Pontoosic Road will be CLOSED to traffic from Feeding Hills Road to Laro Road from 7am until around 5pm each weekday, for the next two weeks during the water line project.
Please also plan for minor delays on Route 20 when you are traveling to and from Westfield and West Springfield over the next several months while the State completes raising the Bridge.
Main Street:
Lynch Construction has completed this project and is awaiting punch list items that the City or State might have.
Elm Street & Franklin Street:
Goncalves & Sons, Inc from Ludlow will continue working on installing a new major underground water line and sidewalk installation along Elm Street and Franklin Street this week.
They are reporting that they will be working thru Friday and they will focus on the installation of curbing, sidewalks and waterline connections along both Elm Street and Franklin Street.
In the immediate work areas there will be no on street parking on Elm Street or Franklin Street.
They have reported that the delays in the area of work will be minor. The work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.mm and go until around 4 p.m. through Friday.
This project is set to replace a major underground water line on Elm Street, upgrading the traffic control signals, perform sidewalk improvements and repaving the street, all from Church Street to the Great River Bridge.
Park Square Area:
Lynch Construction is putting the finishing touches on the Park and it is looking like a nice centerpiece for the City and Downtown.
Westfield G&E work zones in various sections of the City:
On Rosedell Drive – gas main replacement will start this week, the G&E will be installing a replacement gas service going about 200 feet in from East Mt. Road on Rosedell Drive.
On Elm Street and Franklin Avenue the G&E will continue this week working on the street lighting resets and replacements.

Please remain alert and follow the directions of the Westfield Police Officers who will be working throughout the work sites.
Please remember to use your directional signals so we all know your intentions and be alert for the police personnel who will be guiding you through the construction zones.
