12:16 a.m.: suspicious activity, Meadow Street, officer reports placing a 24-year-old male into protective custody, subject was riding a red BMX bicycle which was also transported to the police headquarters;
1:12 a.m.: suspicious activity, arrest, Broad Street, caller reports a male subject urinating and sleeping on the St. John’s Lutheran Church property, officer reports Daniel R. Pacheco, 55 of 727 Maple St., Fall River taken into custody on a warrant;
2:43 a.m.: assist other police agency, Long Pond Road, Northampton police requesting an officer get information about a motor vehicle in their possession with smashed out windows, vehicle is registered to a resident of Long Pond Road, officer reports speaking with the registered owner who reported that his daughter uses that vehicle, owner attempted to contact his daughter to no avail, officer advised the owner that the vehicle was located by Northampton police in the middle of a cornfield with its windows shattered and that police in that community suspect it may have been stolen, vehicle owner advised to contact Northampton police;
11:45 a.m.: larceny, Ocean State Job Lot, 231 East Main St., manager reports that a female approached the service desk ostensibly to return in inflatable boat, the service desk clerk declined to make a refund because of the receipt provided was unreadable, manager reports female became irate and left the store with the raft, manager checked the security tape and observed the female take the item off a store shelf and then walk to the service desk, officer reports suspect was identified and a criminal complaint for larceny filed with the court;
12:54 p.m.: identity fraud, Paper Mill Road, citizen came to station to report receiving a Comcast bill for a cable service in New Haven which the reporting party had not authorized, officer reports information taken and report provided to citizen to be given to Comcast with request to void the bill and cancel the New Haven account;
1:03 p.m.: motor vehicle accident with injury, Russell Road, motorist reports traveling east on Route 20 near Tekoa Country Club when he heard a loud bang and lost control of the vehicle which crossed over the westbound lane and collided with a tree on the north shoulder of the highway, the operator, Michael J. Mezzetti, 19, of 181 Pine Grove Drive, South Hadley, and his passenger, John Lekasiewicz, 21, also of South Hadley, were transported to the Baystate Medical Center, Springfield for treatment, Mezzetti treated and released, no record of Lekasiewicz being treated;
1:17 p.m.: medical emergency, Rosedell Drive, Westfield Gas & Electric Department reports receiving notification that a contractor was injured and is requesting an emergency response, officer reports contractor was working on a high-pressure line that was leaking, contractor attempted to block the leak with his arm, the gas penetrated the skin of the arm which filled with gas, John Kudlic II, no age or address given, was transported to the Baystate Medical Center, Springfield for treatment;
2:53 p.m.: motor vehicle accident with injury, Sackett Street, officer reports a vehicle made a left turn out of Morris Street and was struck in the rear by an eastbound vehicle, operator and passenger of eastbound vehicle injured, Brian J. Snow, 30, of 102 South Main St., Otis and passenger Meghan Bartini, 28, also of Otis transported to Noble Hospital
5:20 p.m.: threat to commit a crime, to wit murder, female came to station to report that a male has sent threatening email messages to her, she had met on a computer game site and had developed a Facebook relationship, female had no other information that suspect’s Facebook account, under investigation;
5:22 p.m.: medical emergency, Stop & Shop parking lot, 57 Main St., caller reports that a woman in her 50s had fallen and was bleeding, officer reports minor cuts on woman’s hands, requesting an ambulance to transport the woman to Noble Hospital for treatment, services rendered;
6:55 p.m.: officer wanted, Country Club Drive, caller reports returning home and finding back door open, caller took her children outside and called for assistance, officer reports residence and area checked, no property missing, services rendered.
