WESTFIELD – Westfield State University has a strong and distinguished reputation for training the future educators of Massachusetts’ primary and secondary school system. With that in mind, Westfield State places particular emphasis on helping their potential licensure candidates master the skills needed to pass rigorous Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) exams. For that reason, PrepForward, a leading specialist in certification preparation, has partnered with Westfield State University to offer prospective teachers effective, self-paced, online courses for reviewing core concepts for the Communication and Literacy Skills MTEL Exam.
“Here at Westfield State University, we pride ourselves on the future educators that enter our post-baccalaureate and graduate programs, and we do whatever we can to prepare and support our students for their futures in the classroom. For these reasons, we are happy to partner with PrepForward to provide our teacher candidate students with accessible, online preparation for MTEL certification exams,” Meaghan Arena, Director of Program Development & Outreach at Westfield State University.
All Massachusetts teacher candidates must pass the MTEL Communications and Literacy Skills Exam to be granted a teaching license.
