On Valentine’s Day, the Wolf Scouts from Pack 108 in Westfield collaborated with Sergeant Hall of the Westfield Police Department to participate in an original crime prevention project and learn about how their community works together to keep people safe. Their project, with the approval of principals from both Papermill and Munger Hill schools, was to replace lost or stolen visitor badges with new neon orange ones that they designed. The bright color would distinguish a visitor from a teacher or children’s aide. After the Newtown tragedy, awareness of who the people are in the schools is important.
