WILBRAHAM – There was an outpouring of goals in Monday’s high school girls’ lacrosse game between Westfield and Cathedral. The Bombers created several of those chances in a 24-14 win at Spec Pond Field.
Brittany Hutchinson (3 goals, 2 assists), Ashlee O’Conner (3 goals), Victoria Whalen (4 goals, 1 assist), MacKenzie Millikan (2 goals, 2 assists), Ashlee Owen (4 goals, 1 assists), and Grace Silva (3 goals) provided the bulk of the Westfield attack.
“It was a shootout – and we definitely did better in that department,” Westfield coach Paul Fenwick said after the rout. “We’re looking to improve on the season and tighten up our defense.”
