WINTHROP, ME – Arthur Edwin Johnson, of Winthrop, ME, passed away quietly, February 7, 2013. Art was born, August 30, 1930, the only child of Herbert and Evelyn Johnson in East Rockaway, NY.
He and his mother relocated to Westfield, MA where he met his future wife, Sandra Jane Chillson. They were married on December 30, 1959 and enjoyed many happy years together with family and friends living in MA, Florida and Maine until her death in July of 2008.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Anne and husband, Kurt Webster of Toronto, Ontario; his son, Todd Herbert and wife, Theresa Johnson of St Simon’s Island, GA; grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Scott Linehan, Dylan Craig and Luolin Webster; Christopher and Meghan Johnson.
There will be a graveside service with full military honors at Lakeview Cemetery, Narrows Pond Road, Winthrop, on Monday, July 1st at 1:00 p.m.. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop.
