6:29 a.m.: motor vehicle fire, East Main Street near the intersection with Main Line Drive, numerous reports of a car fire, patrol officer requesting Fire Department assistance, engine 2 dispatched for a 2014 Jeep Patriot which is fully engulfed, officer requesting tow truck, officer requesting state Department of Transportation be notified that the was some damage to the bridge, DOT en route;
9:09 a.m.: property found, Court Street, caller reports bicycle left on property, bicycle brought to headquarters;
1:50 p.m.: larceny, Elm Street, caller reports theft of a BMX-style bicycle left outside store, officer reports value of stolen bicycle is $300;
8:14 p.m.: assault, arrest, Monroe Street, caller reports that her boyfriend assaulted her the previous night and that he took her phone to prevent her from requesting police assistance, officer dispatched, officer requesting ambulance to transport caller to Noble Hospital, officer reports that the female stated her boyfriend had pinned her and punched her repeatedly, Steven J. Griffin, 57, of 24 Day Ave., charged with domestic assault and battery, domestic assault and battery with injury on a person 60 years of age or older and with witness intimidation.
