WESTFIELD – Marian G. (Brownell) Librizzi, 84, of Westfield died November 16, 2013. She was born in Hartford, CT on May 5, 1929, daughter of Merritt H. and Gladys (Woods) Brownell.
Marian was predeceased in 2009 by her husband of 60 years, Thomas R. Librizzi. Marian is survived by her daughter, Cheryl M. Hopson and her husband David of Blandford, MA; her son, Kevin M. Librizzi and his wife Janet of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Marian was the proud grandmother of Sarah and Jessica Hopson; Meghann, Shari and Tiffany Librizzi and Kelly and Dale Sosnowski. She also leaves her two great-grandchildren, Ivy and Logan Sosnowski.
Marian worked as an assistant buyer at England Brothers in Pittsfield, MA and for many years at Howard Johnson’s in Westfield, MA. She and Tom moved to South Florida in 1976 where she worked in retail and other service industries before returning to Westfield in 2007.
At Marian’s request, burial will be private and there are no calling hours.
