In the police log for March 8th, it reports patrol officer reports several bollards surrounding the Green have been struck. Also, March 10th, officer reports two of the bollards surrounding the Green have been struck. This is not the first time. Mr. Mayor: wake up! It’s not working. Either move them back or get rid of them. A child could figure that one out. How many times do you expect the taxpayers to pay for your mistakes.

If the veterans who are crying and whining about the condition of the U.S. flag flying at certain locations, and took the time to contact the paper and made the front page of the Westfield News, why didn’t those same people approach the citizens or locations flying those flags and bring it to their attention? Better yet, bring a flag with them as a replacement. If those people are so upset, why didn’t they make a move in that direction? Its a legitimate question.

Is it crazy or is it just me? I drive down Western Avenue every day. The potholes are unreal. First the guys put barrels and cones in them. Now, we’ve painted them orange. How about taking some cold patch, or even some hot patch and filling them? Unbelievable. All I can say about the Director of Public Works is: you should be removed. If they can’t remove you how about resigning and letting somebody who is competent step in?
