Benjamin Sanchez, 27, of 24 East Silver St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty finding for charges of possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute, possession of a Class E drug with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $600, ordered to complete a Driver Alcohol Education Program at a cost of $707.76 and his license was suspended for 45 days. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was not prosecuted and he was found to be not responsible for charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Sanchez saw a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license not prosecuted.
Alan Dargis Jr., 38, of 16 Cross St., pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and was placed on probation for one year. He was assessed $50.
Robert C. Benoit, 22, of 12 Phelps Ave., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of disturbing the peace brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding and dismissed upon payment of fees and assessments totaling $100.
Kevin A. Augustino, 41, f 726 College Highway, Southwick, was ordered to submit to a mental health evaluation and to stay away from the named victim when he submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon brought by Southwick police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $90. He pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery and was placed on probation for 18 months.
Adam J. Gerlip. 24, of 21 Kane St., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 15 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation brought by Westfield police.
Joshua A. Osden, 35, of 10 Crown St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a Dec. 12 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of disturbing the peace brought by Westfield police. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Osden was again released on his personal recognizance pending a Dec. 12 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of keeping a noisy and disorderly house.
