12:20 a.m.: disturbance, Hampden Street, a caller reports a large party has been underway since 7 p.m., the responding officer reports he heard loud music and yelling as he approached but the three people identified as renters were not cooperative in quelling the ongoing disturbance, the three men were arrested but resisted efforts to emplace handcuffs, Brandon A. Callahan, 22, of 10 Hampden St., Seth M. Benoit, 24, of 47 Taylor St., and Nathan D. Curtin, 26, of 10 Hampden Street were each arrested for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, the office reports that Curtin pushed an officer repeatedly while he was resisting arrest and was also charged with assault and battery on a police officer;
4:13 a.m.: disturbance, Mechanic Street at Cherry Street, a caller reports a fight involving 6-8 people, a second caller reports he went outside to see what the commotion was and was told to go back inside and was struck in the head with a handgun, a third caller (using the second caller’s phone) supported the second caller’s account and said that a person had shown him a handgun, the responding officer reports he found a single man in the area who said that there had been a verbal confrontation but no fight or handgun, the caller who said that he had been struck with a gun had an injury but it was not consistent with the described assault;
8:01 a.m.: vandalism, Cherry Street, a caller reports the sparkplug wires and a relay were pulled from his vehicle, the responding officer reports that the man said that he suspects a friend of his daughter is responsible but could offer no evidence;
8:29 a.m.: vandalism, Fowler Street, a caller reports three tires on his pickup truck were slashed, the responding officer reports the man identified a suspect but that man denied knowledge of the vandalism;
1:34 p.m.: suspicious person, Falcon Drive, a caller from the air national guard base reports a man who had been seen at the fence on the army side of the base has set up to make video at the fence on the air guard side, the responding officer reports the man was identified and said he was making a documentary, the officer reports that the man was not found to be breaking any laws but elected to leave after he learned that the base commander had been informed;
5:58 p.m.: animal complaint, Summer Street, a caller reports a three-year-old child’s face was bitten by a dog, the responding animal control officer reports the boy reportedly pulled the dog’s tail and was bitten, the child was transported to Baystate Medical Center where the boy was treated and released;
6:20 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Silver Street at Alice Burke Way, a patrol officer reports he observed a stop sign violation and stopped the car, the operator was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Matthew R. Greco, 28, of 661 Mill St., Feeding Hills, was arrested on a warrant issued in 2014 by Westfield District Court.
