Westfield- Adele H (Schimmelfennig) Caruso, (1916-2015) 98, passed away Thursday April 2, 2015 at home in Westfield. Born in Lithuania, Adele moved to the United States in 1952. She was a homemaker and housewife with her beloved husband Anthony D Caruso who predeceased her in 1979. Adele was a communicant of St Peter and St Casimir Parish and a member of the Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the Knights of Lithuania and a member of the Hampden Ponds Women’s Club. Adele leaves her nephew Paul Kania and his wife Victoria of Agawam. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday April 8, 2015 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St Peter and St Casimir Church, State St. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the mass from 9-10 am at the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St (Rt 20), all in Westfield. The family would like to thank Noble VNA Hospice and O’Connell Professional Nursing and Tender Loving Care Services for their wonderful care of Adele.
