WESTFIELD – Albert Joseph Mobrice, 89, of Westfield died Friday at home. Born in Westfield, he was a lifelong resident, a Navy veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Southwick VFW Post 872. Albert was employed as a superintendent at the Westfield Gas and Electric Dept. for thirty-two years retiring in 1979. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a Boston Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Rosalie (Taudal) Mobrice; a son, David and his wife Leslie of Russell; a daughter, Rozette Kasperek and her husband Chester of Agawam; a sister, Eleanor Ligenza of CA. Albert also leaves four grandchildren, Brandon Mobrice, Nicholas Mobrice, Christopher Kasperek,and Kym Sevigne, and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Adam, and Allison.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service,76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
