Westfield – Albert “Al” Roy Lemarier, 73, ( 1943 – 2017) passed away peacefully, Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family. Al was born August 31, 1943 in Springfield, son to the late Albert J. and Rhea A. (Beaupre) Lemarier. Al grew up in Winchendon and later moved to Westfield, where he resided for over 50 years. Al worked for Columbia Bicycle for over 27 years and later worked for 17 years at Westfield Whip from which he retired. He was a communicant to St. Mary’s Parish in Westfield. Al adored his family, children and his grandchildren the most. He loved to fish, riding the moped and bicycle, and listening to police scanners. Predeceased by his parents, he leaves his beloved wife of 48 years Suzzanne “Susie” M. (Smith) Lemarier, his children Steven W. Lemarier of Palmer, Lisa M. Giusti of Chester, David A. Lemarier of Westfield, Julie A. McCormick and her husband Paul of Westfield, Danny R. Lemarier of Westfield, Christine A. Towle of Westfield and James A. Lemarier of Feeding Hills. He was the cherished Papa to Alicia, Kahla, Derek, Jennifer, Jacklyn, Stephanie, Samatha, Michael and great Papa to Christopher and Logan. He will be dearly missed by his mother-in-law Dorothy Smith, brother-in-law John Smith Jr., and sisters-in-law Linda McCorkindale, April Kimes, and Laurel Meyers.
Calling hours for Al will be held, Monday, May 8th from 4-7PM at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 4 Princeton Street, Westfield. The funeral will be held, Tuesday, May 9th at 10AM at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Mary’s Parish, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield.
