WESTFIELD – Allen E. St. Jean, 56, of Westfield passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at home. His unexpected passing has left emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends. He was born in Springfield on June 3, 1956 to Charles and Eleanor (Goslow) St. Jean.
Allen was a graduate of Westfield High School and worked with his late father, Charles St. Jean at St. Jean’s Appliance in Westfield. In 1984 he started Allen’s Appliance Repair in Westfield. Allen was a communicant of St Peter’s and St Casimir’s Parish in Westfield. He mostly enjoyed being at home with his family, swimming in the pool, working in his garage and relaxing on his hammock. He was most proud of the Appliance repair service he provided to the community, making people happy was his job and he enjoyed it. We will love and miss him very much and know he will be watching out for his grandchildren in Heaven.
He leaves three sons, Allen J. St. Jean and his wife Nicki of Feeding Hills, Randy C. St. Jean of Westfield and Michael A. St. Jean and his fiancé Charlene of Feeding Hills. He also leaves his mother, Eleanor St. Jean of Westfield; four brothers, Charles of Boston, Larry and Dan of Westfield and David of Boston; three sisters, Beth St. Jean of Maryland, Lynn Baker and her husband Russell of Monson and Dori Davis of Florida; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob, Tyler and Jackson St. Jean; his former wife, Jo-Ann St. Jean of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan.
The funeral will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 12:00 noon from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Peter’s Church at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
