Allie qualifies for state representative ballot

WESTFIELD – Westfield City Councilor Dan Allie announced he has qualified for the ballot in his bid for the State Representative Fourth Hampden seat.

“I want to thank everyone who signed my nomination papers, and the volunteers who helped collect hundreds of signatures. I look forward to a positive campaign and the opportunity to speak with the people of Westfield and represent their concerns,” says Allie.

Allie is a father and grandfather, a graphic designer and small business owner, and Army veteran. Currently in his fourth term as an At-Large City Councilor, Allie is also a veteran of numerous campaigns and ballot questions having worked on the campaigns of Steve Pierce, Michael Knapik, Don Humason, Scott Brown and helping many local candidates. He led the local effort to Repeal Automatic Gas Tax increases, Ending Common Core and led the successful campaign that opposed increasing the term of mayor to four years in Westfield in 2017.

“What I love most about working on campaigns is meeting many of the people who make Westfield such a great place to live. When I first ran for City Council, I started by listening to my neighbors and residents and understanding their concerns. As City Councilor, I have put the interest of the people in Westfield first. If given the opportunity to serve as State Representative, I will be a strong advocate for our city and promise to work every day to help the people of Westfield,” says Allie.

Allie will face Kelly Pease in a Sept. 1 primary.
