WESTFIELD – Anna C (Harrington) Johnson, 85, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at Westfield Gardens. She was born in Springfield on February 18, 1933 to the late Cecilia and Daniel Harrington. She grew up in Springfield, graduating from Commerce High School. After graduation Anna entered the field of cosmetology working at Valentine Beauty Salon. In 1970 Anna began a new career at Digital Equip Corp retiring in 1994. Westfield has been her home since 1970, where she and her husband Ray have been active members of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, in particular the Cursillo movement. She served the community both as a Girl Scout and Brownie troop leader. Anna enjoyed creating beauty for other’s enjoyment through decorating, painting, ceramics, and gardening. Anna’s true life work has been caring for her family. She leaves her husband of 58 years Raymond Johnson, her children Eric Johnson and his wife Catherine of Westfield, Loriann Johnson of New York, NY, and Wendy Creech and her husband Michael of Westfield. Anna also leaves her grandchildren Kaitlyn Creech, Eric Johnson, Jessica Creech, Colin Johnson and Alicia Creech, her great- grandchildren Madison DeAngelo, Olivia Chisholm and Jack DeAngelo. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 16th from 4-7 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 am in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
