WESTFIELD – Anna (Zielinski) Konert, 84, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 in a local nursing home. She was born in Poland on December 2, 1928 to the late Wladyslaw and Wladyslawa Zielinski.
Anna moved to New York in 1965. After retirement in 1990, she moved to Westfield. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved being surrounded by her flowers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Czeslaw Konert in 1994. She leaves her children, Michael Konert of Holtsville, New York, Richard Konert of Staten Island, New York and Irena Kozikowska of Westfield; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her brother, Stanley Zielinski of Brooklyn, New York.
The funeral for Anna will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm Street.
