Hofstra Congratulates Spring 2014 Dean’s List Students
HEMPSTEAD, NY – Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the Spring 2014 Dean’s List for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the Dean’s List.

Criteria for selection to the dean’s list are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the semester, exclusive of “P” grades; the student must not have any incompletes, missing grades or “CPs” in the designated semester; the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester; and the student must not have been barred from the dean’s list due to a disciplinary action.
Rachel Arnold Earns Spot on Hofstra University’s Spring 2014 Provost’s List
HEMPSTEAD, NY – Rachel Arnold of Westfield achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2014 semester, earning a spot on the Provost’s List. Rachel is a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Springfield College recently held its commencement weekend where 600 master’s degrees, five certificates of advanced graduate study, nine doctor of philosophy degrees, and 30 doctoral of physical therapy degrees were awarded at the graduate commencement ceremony. At the undergraduate commencement, 944 bachelor’s degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1588 degrees.
Kevin William Campbell Named to Clarkson University Dean’s List
POTSDAM, NY – Kevin William Campbell of Westfield, a freshman majoring in electrical engineering, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2014 semester at Clarkson University. Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.
Dasso named Cadet of the Term
CADE COD, Mass. -“CADET OF THE TERM” for the Spring Semester 2014 have distinguished themselves by their exemplary conduct, dedication to the goals of the Academy and contributions to the Regiment and the community. The selection for this honor involves an extensive evaluation and selection process initiated by Cadet Officers of the Regiment. These cadets are outstanding representatives of their respect classes and are congratulated for a job well done.
Each cadet will receive a Letter of Appreciated from the Commandant of Cadets and be entitled to wear the Commandant’s Award as long as he/she is a member of the Regiment of Cadets;
1/C – Excused from Admiral’s Inspection for the semester
2/C – One (1) Admiral’s Inspection excused
3/C – One (1) Extra Liberty night per week for the semester
4/C – Friday Sign-out for the semester excused.
The cadets selected as “CADET OF THE YEAR” for the 2014 Academic Year have distinguished themselves through their personal contributions to the Academy community and their dedication to the success of the Regiment. They have set a standard of excellence for others to follow.
On behalf of the Regiment of Cadets and entire Massachusetts Maritime Academy community, congratulations and thanks on their accomplishments and contribution.
Each cadet will receive a $250 scholarship and a plaque to commemorate their achievement and be entitled to wear the ‘Admiral’s Award’ ribbon for as long as he/she is a member of the Regiment of cadets.
