WESTFIELD – The Westfield Athenaeum is proud to announce the revival of the Picture Westfield project.
This time around, the Athenaeum will be exploring the fascinating role of work in the City of Westfield with the theme of Picture Westfield… at Work.
The project aims to focus on the varied and wide-ranging fields of employment in Westfield. From professionals to blue-collar workers, from volunteerism to the arts, the project seeks to capture the diversity of the work force in Westfield.
The Athenaeum is looking for the everyday, well-known work that is known to many but also seeking the detailed, environmental and situational photographs that creatively depict the lesser-known features that define a unique Westfield organization or business.
Businesses and organizations can use their own dedicated photographers, or the Athenaeum can provide a photographer.

Over the next few months, the project hopes to begin collecting photos from various individuals, industries, businesses, and non-profits in Westfield. The pictures submitted will become part of the archival collection at the Westfield Athenaeum. With the proper release information, photos could also be a part of the 2016 Picture Westfield… at Work 2016 Calendar.
Submission forms, outlining the specific requirements for the photographs, as well as image release forms, will be available at the Athenaeum at 6 Elm Street and also on the Athenaeum website: www.westath.org.
The deadline for submission is June 30. Please refer to the submission form for technical and additional information. Please contact Athenaeum Director, Cher Collins with any questions about the project: 413-568-0638 or [email protected].
