WEST SPRINGFIELD – Bernice (Akzamet) Cezarek, 104, (1915-2020) a 65 year resident of West Springfield, passed away at home on April 24, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born in Westfield to the late Frank and Agatha (Lis) Akzamet. Bernice was employed as a CNA for the West Springfield Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1998. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick F. Cezarek in 1976, her three brothers, Joseph, Stanley and Walter Akzamet and her sisters, Frances Florek, Agnes Gabranski and Julie Monczka. Bernice is survived by her daughter Barbara A. Marszalek of Florida, her son Richard S. Cezarek of West Springfield, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Burial is private in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Westfield. Her family would like to thank Baystate Hospice, especially Loriann Gulluni and Julie Kirchner for the care and love given to Bernice.
