The winners of the 50th annual Art Show at the Blandford Fair were:
Oils and Acrylics: “Hollyhocks” by Christine Sterritt of Hampden, first place; “Must Be Autumn,” by Janet Masciotra, Springfield, second place; “Barn,” by Rebecca Knotts, Westfield, third place, and “Sunset” by Nancy Meissner, Canaan, N.Y., fourth place. The “judges’ choice” was “Raven’s Study” by Steve Hamlin of Huntington.
Watercolors: “Foxhounds” by Shannon Shreve, first place; “Dahlia” by Christine Sterritt, Hampden, second place; and Joyce Belliveau of Springfield took third place for “Fresh Water- Northern Pike” and fourth place with “Fair Thoughts.” The “director’s choice” winner was “Nobska Lighthouse” by Bill Ferro of Springfield.
Pastels and Drawings: “Big-horn Ram Study” by Steve Hamlin of Huntington took first place; “Stebbins Wood Duck Drake” by Hamlin took second place; “Sky Scraper Morning” by Maureen McDonald of Chicopee took third place, and “Bass Harbor Light” by Cathy Guidetti of West Springfield took fourth place.
Anniversary/I See Red: “I see Red the Dress” by Joyce Belliveau of Springfield took first place; “See with Red” by Janet Masciotra of Springfield took second place; “Something in Red” by Kristine Crimmins of Wilbraham won third place, and “Quick Draw Macaw” by Christine V. Baron of Westfield took fourth place.
Black and White Photography: “First Snow” by Donald Ostroski of Southampton won first place; “Dahlia” by Judy Bolio of Westfield won second place; “Castle Carrickahowley” by Paul Goodwin of Rutland, took third place, and “Lenox Birch” by Goodwin won fourth place.
Color Photography: “Swamp Grass Big Pond, East Otis” by Albert A. Woodruff of Westfield took first place; “Grand Canyon” by Linda Barnyard of Blandford took second place; “Borrishoole Sunset” by Paul Goodwin of Rutland, won third place, and “Mustache” by Norm Wagnee of West Springfield took fourth place.
Digitally Manipulated: “Grape Hyacinth” by Judy Bolio of Westfield won first place; “Color in the Woods” by Gary Senecal of Athol won second place, and Sue Mccathrey of West Springfield took third place with “Smelling the Daisys” and fourth place with “Relaxing.”
