WESTFIELD – The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Westfield thanks the adult and senior swimmers who recently raised funds to benefit children’s programming at their non-profit organization. During the school year, adults and senior citizens of greater Westfield have the opportunity to improve their health and fitness at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield’s wellness center each day from 7:30 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. An energetic group who have dubbed the name “The Noodlers” have taken advantage of this wellness center where they can be found walking in the gym or on the treadmill, peddling on bicycle machines, using water aerobics equipment, or swimming laps in the pool. Summer hours are from 7:00 until 8:30, Monday through Friday.
According to executive director Bill Parks, “This Boys & Girls Club has the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of a wide range of individuals in our community. We appreciate the support that we receive in return. These contributions ensure that “great futures start here” by providing core programs focusing on the social, emotional, physical, cultural and educational growth of our youth, never turning a child away due to inability to pay.
