WESTFIELD: Carol L. (Willemain) Weibel, age 78, (1941-2019) of Westfield, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Rene G. and Muriel L. (Lefebvre) Willemain, and was a 1957 graduate of Chicopee High School. Carol had lived in Westfield for many years and was the longtime Assistant Manager at Park West Bank & Trust in Holyoke, retiring in 2000. She was most recently a communicant of Our Lady of The Lake Parish in Southwick. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph W. Weibel; three children: Joseph W. Weibel, III and his wife Sherry of Bartlett, TN, Caroline “Carrie” Weibel of Southwick, and Michael R. Weibel and his wife Deb of Chicopee; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by a son, Steven Weibel, and two brothers, Rene and Robert Willemain.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 11:00 am at Saint Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, in the Aldenville Section of Chicopee. Burial will follow in Saint Rose de Lima Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
