WESTFIELD – Carole L. (Malec) Risko passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2024. Carole was born in Westfield on June 29th, 1936 and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1954, where she was a baton twirler with the Westfield High Band. She was a member of The Red Hats and attended Westfield State. Carole was also a member of the Westfield Little Theater Group. Carole loved roller skating, beach trips, shopping and going to Aruba with her girlfriends. Some of her favorite memories were seeing Elvis live in Vegas, visiting Hawaii, and meeting Englebert Humperdinck.
Carole retired from Mestek, Inc. and often spoke fondly of the friendships she built during her employment there.
Carole is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Tillie Malec, her son Michael Risko, and her son Paul Risko.
She leaves behind her daughter Audrey Smith, her grandchildren Jennifer Pepek, Jessica Chisholm, Kayla Hewes, Crystal Hewes, Lindsey Santos and Aaron Smith, and eleven great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 8th from 1-2 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield and a service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Firtionadams.com
