SPRINGFIELD: Carole Louise Zeneski, age 70 of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Carole was born on July 28, 1945 in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of the late George Hearn and Margaret Stierle Hearn. Carole graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1962. She also graduated from Westfield State College with a major in Communications. She married Richard G. Scott in June 1966. She later married, Gary A. Zeneski on December 10, 1983 and was married for 32 years. Carole was a kind person. She loved all animals, especially her dogs Babe and Lady Merry, but her passion was sewing, cross stitch, painting, and stamping. She taught classes and shared her love of all crafts. She won many awards of her artistic talent and even won Best in Show for her exquisite workmanship in cross stitch at the Big E. She attended many craft shows throughout the New England states and loved to travel. She would organize bus trips for her friends throughout the country and was always looking out for new places to explore. She worked at Noble Hospital for 30 yrs. in various departments but eventually stayed in Fowler Wing for over 20 yrs. She loved her fellow co-workers and was always willing to switch her schedule in order to accommodate them.
Carole is survived by her sister, Nancy Hearn. She also leaves behind a daughter, Melissa (Lee) Perez of Kansas City, MO and a son, Kevin Zeneski of Westfield, MA. Stepdaughters, Lisa (David) Walczak of Russell, MA. and Jennifer Deschaine of Westfield. She has five grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, and Ryan Perez of Kansas City and Rachael and Hannah Walczak of Russell, MA. There will be a private beach side ceremony for immediate family members on Cape Cod at a later date. She loved the Cape and spent a few years of her childhood in Wareham, MA before moving to Springfield, MA. Memorial donations can be sent in her name to any animal shelter in the Springfield/Westfield area.Please remember Carole as a kind, friendly, free spirit here on Earth and in Heaven.
