Westfield – Catherine P. (Fucci) Scholpp. 87, (1929-2016) passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Heritage Hall North in Agawam. She was born in Westfield to the late Joseph and Angelina (Piscatelli) Fucci. She worked for Patricia Reach making floral arrangements and also worked as an assembler for Digital for 15 years retiring from there. Known as “Katie” to most she was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, in Westfield, and was very involved with helping out with various events at the church. She enjoyed Bocci, playing cards, and watching the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. Katie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred H. Scholpp in 2015 and her 3 brothers, Frank, Gabriel and Clement Fucci and her sister Mary Folta. Katie is survived by her three loving children, Kathleen M. Scholpp of Westfield, Karl L. Scholpp of Westfield and Christyne M. Lapan and her husband Michael of Londonderry, NH and her six cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel and Matthew Lapan, Kirsten, Lauren and Holden Scholpp. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday with a Mass at 11AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield, followed by Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the mass from 9-10:30AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
