WESTFIELD – Cecile R. (Klekotka) Swikalus, 95, (1929-2024) passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. She was born in South Hadley, one of nine children to the late Julian and Anna (Hodak) Klekotka.
Cecile enjoyed traveling with her husband Joseph, spending time at their camp on Lake Congamond in Southwick, playing cards, and working in her tomato garden. Overall, Cecile’s family was most important to her, and she loved spending time with them. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter/St. Casimir’s Parish in Westfield.
Sadly, Cecile was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph V. Swikalus in 2014 and by her eight siblings, Robert Klekotka, Casimir Klekotka, Josephine Cisek, Sophie Ratkiewicz, Eileen Nolin, Chester Klekotka, Jennie Bartusewich and Julia Obuchowski.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Peter/St. Casimir Church, State Street, Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield.
