SOUTHWICK – Charles E. Pratt, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 with his family by his side. He was a son of the late Charles E. Pratt 
and Helen L. (Lecrenski) Pratt. He was a graduate of Westfield High School and then joined the US Army where he proudly served for 4 years. During his time in the Army, he was stationed in Utah as a meteorologist during the Korean War. Charlie owned and operated CE Pratt and Sons Water Well Drilling business. He enjoyed his work and knew his customers well. He was also a member of the Well Water Association. He was actively involved in the Southwick community; he was a member of the Southwick Volunteer Fire Department for over 28 years; Charlie ran the Fire Department Bingo and Carnival for many years. He was a member of Southwick Rotary Club and past President. He enjoyed going to the Southwick Senior Center and the Westfield Senior Center where he was able to make many friends while playing his favorite card games. He was a lifelong member of the Southwick Congregational Church.
Charlie will be missed by all who knew him, especially his daughter Elizabeth “Liz” (Pratt) Ziba and her husband Stephen of Southwick, four adored grandchildren, Savannah Ziba, David Ziba, Jackson Ziba, and Phillip Pratt, one great-grandson Theo Charles Pratt. He is also survived by his loving sister Athalie (Pratt) Sanders of Melrose, Florida, and his several nieces and nephews and the Reilly Family.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Judith (Keane) Reilly Pratt, his son William Charles Pratt 2008, his brothers Richard “Dick” Pratt, George “Buddy” Pratt, David Pratt, and a brother in-law James Sanders.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11 a.m. at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral and Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Burial with military honors will be held in the New Cemetery, Southwick. Memorial Contributions in Charlie’s name may be made to the Southwick Senior Center or the Southwick Volunteer Fire Department.
