WESTFIELD – Cheryl L. (Tomala) Annino, 67, (1955 – 2023) passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Holyoke, MA by the late Stanley and Irene (Barree) Tomala. She graduated from Holyoke High in 1973 and continued to live life by her rules. She lived every day in the moment and enjoyed as much as she could. She was employed as a systems technician for Digital for 10+ years, the bar manager for the American Legion Post 275 in Chicopee for over 15 years and most recently for Ocean State Job Lot as a merchandiser. Cheryl enjoyed going for drives to pretty much anywhere… especially in the fall. Christmas was her favorite holiday; she would decorate her entire house and had the most extravagantly decorated gifts under the tree. She spoiled her Fur Baby T. Squirt and her two Fur Baby Grandkids Loki and Gypsy. Mostly, Cheryl loved being a mom and her love for that role was shown to many.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her son, Charles J. Annino, Jr. in 1996 and her three brothers, Stanley, George and Walter Tomala.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Taylor L. Kring and her husband Scott of Westfield, her sisters, Faith Falls of Holyoke, Hope Rodriguez of Port Richey, FL and her twin Charity Tomala of Bossier City, LA as well as many nieces and nephews. As well as a substantial number of her daughter’s friends that became family.
A funeral home service for Cheryl will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 2PM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 12-2PM in the funeral home. Her favorite color was purple, so if you would like to wear that instead of black, she would have loved that. In lieu of flowers (or along with), donations can be made to her daughter, Taylor Kring, directly or through the GoFundMe set up online to help with expenses through this time. www.firtionadams.com
