Unfortunately for Always Dreaming – and 10 entrants – the dream ended on Saturday with an eighth place finish. Alas, one person was cognizant enough to pick 13-1 underdog Cloud Computing (an odd name, but it all added up to a victory).
Mark Kielbasa, of Westfield got his nose out in front and walked away with the black-eyed Susans.
Four people picked 2-1 favorite Classic Empire, who finished second. No one chose 30-1 underdog Senior Investment, who was third.
Our updated leaderboard has Nancy Boistelle and Jenn Kielbasa tied for first with five points. Stan Zomek, Vicki White, Robert Piper, and Jack Pelli are each a close second with four.
There will not be a Triple Crown winner this year, but a champion will be crowned in our Ultimate Challenge. Next up: NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on May 28.
Thanks again to my “Ultimate” statistician, the self-proclaimed “loyal stat-monkey and minion,” Melissa Hartman. You truly are a life-saver!
Cloud Computing adds up for Kielbasa
