2:06 a.m.: incapacitated person, Otis Street, a caller reports he heard screaming and investigated to find an intoxicated man lying on the ground, the responding officer reports that the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital by Westfield Fire Department ambulance and he was placed in protective custody after he was cleared by the hospital staff;
7:59 a.m.: assault, Mainline Drive, a caller reports a known man came to his workplace and punched him, the responding officer reports the caller reported that the man came to his workplace to continue a dispute over a vehicle purchase and when he walked outside to discuss the matter the suspect punched him from behind, the officer reports the person had left the area;
1:49 p.m.: car fire, Southampton Road, a caller reports a vehicle on fire, the responding firefighters report that police fire extinguishers had been used to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment prior to their arrival, the firefighters report that operator said he pulled over when he saw smoke coming from the engine compartment, nesting materials found in the engine compartment were thoroughly doused, damage was confined to the engine compartment;
3:20 p.m.: larceny, Home Depot transfer warehouse, 50 Campanelli Drive, a caller reports a trailer was stolen from the warehouse;
7:21 p.m.: fraud, Wal-Mart, 141 Springfield Road, a caller reports counterfeit $20 bills were passed in the store, the responding officer reports the caller said that two black men spent $1,360 in counterfeit $20 notes, the men left in a vehicle which was described to police;
8:39 p.m.: larceny, Tobacco Barn, 53 Elm St., a caller reports liquor was stolen from the store, the responding officer reports a review of security video showed that a female party distracted a clerk while a male party stuffed two bottles of liquor in a back pack, the officer reports the parties were found at a bus stop and were in possession of the liquor, Christopher M. Lopez, 31, of 817 Airport Industrial Road, Westfield, and Amber Lynn Voudren, 30, of 171 Susan Drive, Westfield, were each arrested for shoplifting by asportation.
