Vladislav Khomichuk, 21, of 31 Western Circle, Westfield, pleaded guilty to charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with intent to commit a misdemeanor and malicious destruction of property valued less than $1,200 brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to two nine-month terms in the house of correction with credit for time served awaiting trial. In a second case brought by the Hampden County District Attorney, Khomichuk pleaded guilty to charges of malicious destruction of property valued less than $1,200 and disrupting court proceedings and was sentenced to two nine-month terms in the house of correction (with credit for time served awaiting trial) to be served concurrently with the sentence imposed in the previous case. In a third case brought by Westfield police, Khomichuk pleaded guilty to two charges of tagging and two charges of setting fire on another person’s land and was sentenced to four additional nine-month terms in the house of correction (with credit for time served awaiting trial) to be served concurrently with the sentences imposed in the previous cases. A charge of burning another person’s property was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth in favor of the plea. See story in the June 24 edition of The Westfield News.
